Google Cloud, MoneyGram Back Privacy-Focused Midnight Network Launch
Google Cloud and MoneyGram have joined Vodafone's Pairpoint and eToro as launch-phase node operators for Midnight, a zero-knowledge privacy network targeting a March 2026 mainnet debut. The platform emphasizes selective disclosure—enabling institutions to verify compliance without exposing raw customer data on public ledgers.
Midnight's Kūkolu mainnet will launch with federated operators prioritizing stability, later transitioning to decentralization. The network avoids anonymity in favor of auditable privacy, using ZK-proofs for scenarios like proving AML checks without transaction exposure—a pitch tailored for regulated finance.
